2012 Maserati GranTourismo

What can I say about Pininfarina’s design that hasn’t already been said? It’s sleek, it’s stylish, it kind of looks like an Eagle Talon from behind and it may or may not look like a catfish from the front… blah blah blah. Well, I guess haters are going to hate.

The GranTourismo grinds all of those haters to a fine dust when it rolls down the avenue. With it’s bold front end, pronounced hips, and absolutely insane growl, the Maserati de jour puts many of it’s classmates to shame. And yes, I’m looking directly at you Aston Martin.

I can’t wait to see what is coming down the pipe from Maserati. Their current lineup of cars is aging gracefully but the designs are starting to become stale. I’m guessing we’ll see a completely redesigned GranToursimo and Quattroporte before too long. And let’s be honest, the brake heat extractor ports on the side of the car are looking a bit too… um… what’s the word? Oh right. Buick.
